Participation of the GlaCerHub Project at the XIX-sup-th--sup- Conference of the European Ceramic Society

The ECERS XIX Conference of the European Ceramic Society, held in Dresden, was an event of remarkable scale and significance: five days, 1,450 participants from 47 countries, 53 exhibitors, 15 symposia, three satellite symposia, and the centennial conference of the Deutsche Keramische Gesellschaft e.V.

We were greatly honoured to contribute to this distinguished international meeting and extend our gratitude to all participants, speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors.

Our sincere thanks are also due to Maritim Hotelgesellschaft mbH for hosting the event at the International Congress Center and for their comprehensive support.

The conference highlighted the pivotal role of ceramic technologies and systems as essential innovations for the future. Discussions centred on some of the most pressing global challenges, including sustainability, the energy transition, and circular economy technologies.

GlaCerHub’s contributions included:

  • Plenary lecture of Prof. Dušan Galusek.
  • Exhibition booth presentation.
  • Eleven lectures delivered by nine representatives from FunGlass.
  • Seven lectures presented by CEITEC BUT researchers.
  • Two sessions chaired by Prof. Martin Trunec.
  • Four poster presentations.
  • Participation of PhD students, including double-degree candidates, in the ECERS Summer School preceding the main conference.

Our active participation provided an excellent opportunity to showcase ongoing research in ceramics at this prestigious and internationally recognised event.

We have received highly positive feedback, established valuable new contacts for future scientific collaboration, and greatly appreciated the organisers’ outstanding efforts in ensuring the success of the conference.
