On 3 February 2026, the GlaCerHub consortium met at the FunGlass Centre in Trenčín for the project’s Review Meeting, focused on the evaluation of the second reporting period (September 2024 – November 2025).
The meeting was chaired by Dušan Galusek, Project Coordinator and FunGlass Director. The consortium welcomed Prof. Anna Boczkowska Dean of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology, who attended the meeting in person as the Reviewer.
The European Commission Project Officer, Ms. Pepa Krasteva, joined the meeting online. Representatives of all project beneficiaries were present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the consortium presented the progress achieved during the second reporting period, covering key activities across all project work packages. The presentations highlighted developments in governance and implementation structures, research and innovation activities, training programmes, technology transfer support, dissemination and communication, as well as project management, while also addressing challenges encountered and measures taken to overcome them.
The review meeting provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the progress of GlaCerHub and to exchange views with the Reviewer and the Project Officer. The outcomes confirmed the project’s steady advancement towards building a glass-ceramic innovation ecosystem linking research, skills development, and technology transfer. The project is now entering its final phase (with completion scheduled for May 2027), which will focus not only on implementing project activities but also on developing a strategic and business plan to ensure the sustainability of the hub beyond the project’s conclusion.

Thank you to all our partners for their participation and invaluable contributions to the project. We are excited to continue working together and building on our shared progress.
