The GlaCerHub project was once again actively represented at the Horizon Europe Summer School for Project Managers, held in Omšenie, Slovakia, from 29 June to 2 July 2026. Organised by the National Contact Points for Horizon Europe at the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CVTI SR), the event brought together project managers, researchers, and research support professionals from Slovak universities, research organisations, and industry to strengthen their expertise in European research and innovation programmes.
This year, Project Coordinator Lucia Holubková participated in the intensive training programme, further enhancing her knowledge of Horizon Europe proposal preparation, project implementation, and research management. The Summer School also provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss common challenges, and establish new professional contacts that will support future European collaborations.
As part of the programme, GlaCerHub also contributed to the exchange of best practices through a presentation delivered by Andrea Chrastinová from the FunGlass EU Project Office. Drawing on the experience gained during the implementation of the GlaCerHub project, she shared practical insights into project coordination, proposal development, communication with consortium partners, and the day-to-day management of international collaborative projects. Her presentation emphasised the importance of close cooperation between researchers and project managers as a key factor in the successful implementation of Horizon Europe projects.

The Summer School proved to be an excellent platform for professional development, knowledge sharing, and networking, further strengthening GlaCerHub's engagement within the Slovak research and innovation community.
