Second CEITEC Internal Technology Transfer Competition

We are delighted to announce the Second CEITEC Internal Technology Transfer Competition — an exciting opportunity for innovators, researchers, and students at CEITEC BUT to transform creative ideas into real-world impact.

This competition is open to all members of CEITEC BUT, whether you wish to apply individually or as part of a team — with a special invitation to students to share their innovative spirit.

Why Participate?

The competition aims to foster out-of-the-box thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, and technology transfer culture within CEITEC. We welcome a wide range of ideas, including but not limited to:

  • Early-stage concepts with commercialization potential
  • Realized technology or knowledge transfer projects
  • Proposals for CEITEC-based startups

Key Details

Format: A concise 3–5 minute pitch presentation, followed by a short Q&A session with the jury.

Evaluation Criteria: All ideas should align with CEITEC’s mission and will be assessed based on novelty, commercial viability, and technology transfer potential.

Event Date: Monday, 24 November, starting at 9:30 a.m., in the large meeting room, S Building.

➡️ At least one team member must be present in person during the presentation.

Prize: 💰 100,000 CZK (approx. € 4000) to be distributed among the top teams and individuals:

  • For students: the award will be paid as a stipend.
  • For employees: as a bonus, subject to taxation.

Please note: non-CEITEC team members cannot be paid directly.

Evaluation panel: CEITEC leadership in collaboration with external experts.

How to Apply

Register via the online form “CEITEC Tech Transfer Competition 2025” by Thursday, 20 November.

Participants who register early will be invited to an online preparatory seminar on 19 November at 10:00 a.m., featuring feedback from last year’s winners and tips for crafting an effective pitch.
