L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science 2026

The program was launched in the Czech Republic in 2006. The program cooperates with the Czech Commission for UNESCO and the Czech Academy of Sciences in the Czech Republic.

L’Oréal–UNESCO For Women in Science program is announcing its 20th anniversary edition in the Czech Republic.

Applications can be submitted until April 30, 2026. Each year, three laureates are awarded, each receiving financial support of CZK 200,000.

The program is intended for women scientists working in the fields of natural sciences, formal sciences (e.g., mathematics, computer science), and technology. Participation requires a completed doctoral degree, an age of up to 40 years inclusive, and the submission of a relevant research project to be carried out in the Czech Republic.

Both Czech scientists and those of foreign nationality may apply, provided they can demonstrate that they are active in Czech science or have been conducting research at an institution in the Czech Republic for at least one year.
