The GlaCerHub Training Programme: Advanced Topics in Research Project Management, Techno-Economics, and Life-Cycle Management took place from 21–23 January 2026 at the FunGlass Centre, Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín.
Day 1 opened with Module 1, Fundamentals of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Techno-Economic Assessment (TEA), delivered by Prof. Dorota Burchart from the Silesian University of Technology. Participants were introduced to the LCA methodology and framework, the fundamentals of TEA and its integration with LCA, and the application of LCA principles in both research and industrial practice. The afternoon session also provided opportunities for networking and discussion during short breaks.

Day 2 focused on the importance of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Carbon Footprint (CF) in line with European Commission guidelines. Through expert-led lectures and practical case studies, participants deepened their understanding of LCA and CF principles and applied their newly acquired knowledge during interactive group discussions.
Day 3, the final day of the programme, was dedicated to advanced topics in research project management. The sessions were led by Zuzana Reptová, former National Contact Point (NCP) and expert in EU research frameworks. Her engaging and interactive lectures provided valuable insights into key areas such as resource allocation and risk management, and were highly appreciated by participants.

Overall, all three days were rich in content, practical insights, and inspiring discussions. Participants completed the training with new knowledge, fresh ideas, and enhanced skills, while their active participation and positive attitude contributed to an excellent and collaborative atmosphere throughout the programme.
Special thanks go to Zuzana Reptová and Prof. Dorota Burchart for their expertise, professionalism, and friendly approach.
