CEITEC BUT PhD Students Participate in the 31st 31st annual Doctoral Students‘ Seminar - Inorganic Non-Metallic Materials

CEITEC Brno University of Technology PhD students Daniel Valášek and Marek Rotter attended the 31st annual Doctoral Students‘ Seminar on Inorganic Non-Metallic Materials 2026, held on 5–6 February 2026.

The seminar brought together doctoral researchers from a broad range of institutions, including CEITEC BUT, the Department of Chemical Technology at the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague (UCT Prague), the Faculty of Chemistry at Brno University of Technology (BUT FCH), the University of Pardubice (UPCE), the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS), FunGlass, the TU Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBAF, Germany), the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology at the Slovak University of Technology (STU FCHPT), and the Institute of Physics at Charles University (FZU UK).

Ing. Marek Rotter during his lecture - "Sintering aid for HEC with luminescent properties"

As part of the seminar programme, three awards were presented:

Ing. Daniel Valášek during his lecture - "Comparison of sintering techniques for high entropy carbides derived from high entropy alloys"

We are pleased to announce that the Silicate Society Award was once again brought to Brno, this year for the contribution of Daniel Valášek. The Glass Society Award was presented to Ing. Herbert Kindl, and the Prof. Rudolf Bárta Foundation Award was received by Ing. Vojtěch Ševčík.

We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to all award recipients and our gratitude to the organisers for their dedicated efforts in maintaining this long-standing tradition of doctoral exchange. We also thank all participating institutions and students for their valuable contributions, which made this year's seminar a stimulating and enriching scientific event.
