On 17 June 2025, the Slovak and Czech GlaCerHub Chapter hosted an engaging online session dedicated to the Horizon Europe WIDERA 2025 work programme.
The workshop was led by Peter Hošták, PhD, GlaCerHub Office Manager, and Monika Šandrejová, Project Manager—both from the FunGlass Centre.
The session focused on collaboration opportunities for Widening countries (i.e., EU member states and associated countries with lower R&I performance), highlighting key calls in the 2025 programme that are especially relevant for the glass and ceramics research community. Among the topics discussed were the European Excellence Initiative, the Hop-on Facility, and the EIC Pre-Accelerator—calls seen as particularly promising for advancing innovation in the field.
The GlaCerHub project aims to build a dynamic glass-ceramics innovation ecosystem in Slovakia and Czechia by fostering collaboration among academia, industry, government, and civil society. The project supports the development of talent, knowledge exchange, outreach, and networking within the glass and ceramics innovation community.
The GlaCerHub Chapters represent a strong and supportive network. The success of each member strengthens the collective progress of the entire ecosystem.
A warm thank you to all participants for their active engagement. Your involvement continues to advance our shared mission in research and innovation.
